Public Relations and Communication Unit

This Unit perform the following activities: -

Develop and provide awareness programs to disseminate research findings on issues related to pests, pesticides management and  biodiversity conservations and utilization;

Maintain good public relations within and outside the Institute and assists the Institute to improve interpersonal relations and enhance teamwork and participative management;

Supervise the presentation and management of publicity activities; Analyse public criticisms and complaints and recommend for remedial actions; Prepare progress reports on promotion activities of different research on pests and pesticides; Provide technical support in preparing promotional materials for pests and pesticides education programmes aimed at all stakeholders and the public; Assist coordinating and undertake presentation and management publicity activities; Follow up and bring to the attention of the Director General published issues in the newspapers, radio or TVs which are relevant to the Institute; Coordinate public awareness programmes, sensitization by educating the society on Institute’s activities; Write progress reports on promotion on different Institute’s activities; Plan for regular information dissemination programs; Organize and undertake presentation and management publicity activities; and

 Edit materials for media programs
